This iconic Black & White image captured by Frank Worth of Rita Hayworth sunning on a towel.
Frank Worth was just seventeen when he photographed Rita Hayworth in the garden of her home in 1939. The images were not processed for over sixty years.
She came to prominence originally as a dancer in the film "Dante's Inferno" (1935), but her big break came from roles in "Only Angels have Wings" (1939) and "Blood and Sand" (1941). Both became hugely successful. She became the femme fatale in the film "Gilda" (1946) and an ex-stripper Vera Simpson in the film "Pal Joey" (1957).
With the authenticity of the Estate of the Seal of Frank Worth
